Meet the Smiley Family!
Meet the Smiley family—a household full of love, faith, and joyful anticipation.
Tyler and his wife Catie are the proud parents of three energetic boys and together, they cherish family time—whether they’re playing outside, hiking, camping, enjoying music, diving into books, or taking part in church activities. Tyler serves as the senior pastor and his wife lovingly pours her heart into being a stay-at-home mom.
For nearly two decades, adoption has been on their hearts. Though God first blessed them with three wonderful sons, they continued to pray about the right time to grow their family through adoption. Their wait was long, but the moment they learned of the little girl they had been matched with, it was undeniable—she was meant to be part of their family. The timing of that call, the hike they were on, the prayers they had lifted just before—it all felt beautifully orchestrated. Even more moving, they learned she was born just four days after they formally committed to adopting. Her name in Bulgarian means “gift of God,” and that’s exactly how they see her.
Now two years old, her joyful spirit and playful heart have already captured theirs. The Smileys are currently in the difficult in-between—waiting to return to Bulgaria to bring their daughter home. They’ve left a piece of their hearts with her and are holding tightly to faith as they await the day their family is finally whole.
She is, in every way, their precious gift.

"When I obeyed the call of God to adoption, I stepped out in faith. I didn't have much savings when I started the process -- not nearly what everyone said I needed -- and when I lost my job shortly before travel, I had almost none. But because of the generosity of grants like this one, I was able to proceed in the process and bring my kids home without further delay. I praise God for his provision through your generous gifts and support. "
