Meet the Colgrove Family!
Matthew and Krystin Colgrove, high school sweethearts who have been married for seven years, always considered adoption their “plan A” for expanding their family. Both were raised in environments that championed adoption as a beautiful means of supporting children and building families. Matthew serves as a Staff Sergeant in the Texas Air National Guard, while Krystin works as a Licensed Professional Counselor, where she finds fulfillment in helping others improve their mental health and overall well-being.
Their passion for adoption, present since their teenage years, recently led them to be matched with a six-year-old girl in Taiwan. The child currently resides in a foster home, and on September 20, 2024, they were chosen by a child advocacy agency to become her forever family. Matthew and Krystin are deeply honored by the opportunity to provide this precious little girl with a loving and safe environment, fostering her positive self-identity and self-confidence. They eagerly anticipate welcoming her into their home in America in the coming year.
"When I obeyed the call of God to adoption, I stepped out in faith. I didn't have much savings when I started the process -- not nearly what everyone said I needed -- and when I lost my job shortly before travel, I had almost none. But because of the generosity of grants like this one, I was able to proceed in the process and bring my kids home without further delay. I praise God for his provision through your generous gifts and support. "
