We serve an amazing God capable of upending our life in the most unexpected and beautiful ways possible. That is exactly what happened to us when He placed the special needs orphan crisis on our hearts. Our eyes were opened, and it was impossible to look away.
In January 2022, we traveled to Bulgaria and brought home the most special little guy. He is full of joy and light and just happened to have been born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. He has taught our family so much about true joy, courage, patience, and selfless love.
But the truth is, he is one. One, in an endless statistic of precious children living out their days confined to cribs. Children whose basic human needs are not being met due to a society who cannot see their worth. Children who are dying because of manageable, correctable even, disabilities. It’s a dark and overwhelming reality.
At Love Worthy, we understand the financial obligations of international adoption and how daunting it can be. We want to play a small part in helping these children by helping the families who desire to bring them home. We donate 100% of our after-tax profits to families adopting special needs children internationally and to current waiting children. We do this by providing financial grants to adopting families that offset the expense of the adoption process. We also donate to grants attached to specific waiting children on Reece’s Rainbow.
We were blessed by so many while funding our own adoption, and we hope that in this small way, we can do the same for other families and most importantly, for the children who are waiting.
